Welcome to the
Highland High School Orchestras
Highland High School opened in the fall of 1993, and the Highland Orchestras currently consist of five performing ensembles, with an enrollment of over 250 students. In December 2002, the Highland Symphonic Strings became the first orchestra from an Arizona high school to perform in the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Highland Symphonic Strings have also appeared twice at the prestigious Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, IL: in 1997, and most recently in December, 2007.
Spring Tour 2012 Update
Here is an updated Spring Tour Itinerary. Medication drop off for Spring Tour will be Tuesday, March 20. Medication will be accepted from 6:00-7:00 PM in the band room. You will need to include the GPS Medication Form when you drop them off. They need to be in the original container, in a ziploc bag, with your student's name and ID number written on the outside. For prescription medication, please only include the amount needed for the trip.
